The SBS-3002 is a two bay, stand-alone battery charger that is compliant with the standard Smart Battery System. As such, this Level 3 Smart Battery Charger can charge any type of battery chemistry provided that the pack adheres to the System Management Bus (SMBus) specifications. The SBS-3002 can also charge non-SMBus metal hydride packs using its internal algorithms and can recalibrate smart packs at the user’s discretion. The two bays are charged sequentially on a first-come, first-served basis, though a discharge can be performed in the left bay while the right bay is charging. The SBS-3002 is available in housings that fit most standard pack sizes, including 18, 30, 36, 201 and 204. It is also easily customized to fit non-standard sizes. The SBS-3002 uses an external universal switching power supply and carries full agency approvals.
